Week of 7/15 – Futuristic Fun! – Future Stars Day Camp at Delaware Valley University

Welcome to week 5 of camp at Future Stars Del Val.

Monday, July 15th

News to Know:

Hydrating: Be sure your camper is hydrating at home each day. We make sure to keep them hydrated here at camp too. With the expected higher temperatures this week, it is critical that everyone stays safe.

Swimming: The regular day camp groups will be swimming every day this week.

Wacky Wednesday: wear your Sci Fi Gear. How out of this world can you be?

Wednesday Specifics: Big Dogs and Sharks will be going to Plumstead Christian School for the day. They will not be swimming. Pizza will be provided for Big Dogs and Sharks at Plumstead only.

Wednesday we will also have a visit from the “Snake Man” for the day campers.

Pizza Friday: Campers may purchase plain or pepperoni pizza for $2.50 a slice. We will give out free water-ice. Please have your campers bring along extra food to supplement their meal.

Tuesday, July 16th – Cheer Day!

Today we did our camp cheer start of the morning! At the end of the day, camper groups will share their individual camp cheer with all.

Tuesday News to Know

Car Line Reminders:

For the safety of campers and staff, please remain in your car during the morning and afternoon car line. Staff members will assist in getting campers in and out of the car. If you need to help buckle a child in, please pull over in the parking lot after exiting the car line.

Also please do not pull out of the line if your child is loaded, but a car in front of you is still loading. Thank you for your patience.

Friday Activity: On Friday in STEAM, the Penguins, Dragons, Hawks, Gopher/Eagle and Gator groups will be doing a “spaceman build” using recycled material. Please send in any clean recycling (bottles/boxes/etc.) for campers to use for their build on Friday.

Wednesday, July 17th – Dance Day!

Today we began with a little dancing of the Cupid Shuffle. We continued making Futuristic projects in art and science. Also, some game time fun too!

Snakes!

Today we had a fun visit from the “Snake-man”! Campers got a close-up and hands-on experience with all types of snakes and reptiles.

Thursday Banana Day!

Friday Volleyball Clinic: Sharks and Big Dogs will participate in a volleyball clinic run by Del Val coaches.

Thursday, July 18th – Banana Day!

Today some campers played tennis on the Del Val courts for sport.
